Legend of Zelda style adventuring + Devil May Cry mixed with Batman Arkham City combat gameplay + a grown up, more mature and battle-hardened Link = my dream LoZ game. So basically if Zelda took inspiration from Darksiders.

Double post! Yes, I know Jack-Jack looks like a minature Danny DeVito. I had it pointed it out to me and now I can’t unsee, nor do I want to unsee it. So it stays.
You know what really grinds my gears? Gristles my chicken? Halls my Oates? The sheer amount of people who post online looking for artists to draw their _____ for free. Or profit-share. Or whatever.
Yes, I know we’re in a recession (‘MURICA!). Yes, I know that art is not a glamorous or profitable career. I’ve heard the term “starving artist” just as much as you have. That doesn’t mean that I’m going to sit here, with bills and student loans to pay, and draw your shitty comic for free. If you’re really serious about getting your story out there, bust your ass, make some money, and then pay an artist their due. What we do takes years of practice, patience, and above all else, TIME. And I’m not even the best in my city. There are literally thousands (dozens!) of us all trying to make a living, and the last thing we want to do is waste time on no-pay projects that, 99 times out of a 100, go nowhere.
That being said, one of these days I might be financially stable (gasp!) and meet someone whose creative vision inspires me and I decide to throw every ounce of skill I have at their feet. It might never turn a profit, but I can at least say I did something meaningful.
I will not, however, paint a mural on your restaurant wall for “exposure” and a free meal. **** that.

Created this character concept in about four hours as spec work for a studio that was offering potential freelance work. They turned me down. I’ve always been a strong supporter of no-spec work, but there is an insultingly large number of people out there wanting artists to work for literally nothing up front. This experience has only enforced those principles.
Art is a skill that takes years to master (and something I have yet to master). Anyone can write something they think is gold. Anyone can have an idea. Respect the people whose job it is to make your idea come to life, and pay them what they deserve.

Agent 47 isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.
Making-of time lapse video.
I love when I’m able to get a little darker with my stuff. Let’s off steam, constructively.

Making-of time lapse video.
I don’t care what series does it, but I want to see an Assassin’s Creed/Dishonored/Mirror’s Edge/Infamous style game set in a dystopic future shanty town.

More work at www.arfenhaus.com. I’m available for commissions!

Video of the creation of this.
Having the time to work on my art is fantastic. I’m improving daily as opposed to weekly, and I love being able to devote the time to it that I want.

View the time-lapse video for this drawing here.
Another new favorite (though I still have issues with it). I’ve started a Youtube channel for time-lapse videos of my drawings, for those interested. I wouldn’t mind viewership where I can get it. There’s another drawing uploaded to it as well. More coming tomorrow!
